2004-10-27 [Maurer's conclusions]: Spontaneous combustion! It happened in New Zealand to some cows. Cows release massive amounts of methane per day. So these cows were kept in a field, and there water trough was covered by a glass panel, so the evaporating water would then hit the cool glass and condense. However, due to a design fault, the glass was curved... So these cows were drinking water, and the sun refracted onto them, they got hot, the drank more water, sun refracted more, one of the cows 'releases methane' and boom!
